A question about your station's streaming
Much weight is placed on the real estate surrounding the stream - the "player," as we like to call it.
That's valuable real estate, since it's on the screen whenever the stream is....
...or is it?
Have you ever seen stats on how many people cover that player with another window or minimize the player to effectively remove it from the desktop?
Neither have I.
Somebody should produce these stats - especially if we expect to count a listener as an "impression" for an advertiser who buys a banner on a player which is ushered off the desktop, invisible to anyone but the station that drops in the code.
Right now I'm typing on a screen where a player is lurking somewhere, but I haven't seen it since I opened it an hour ago.
What about you?
