Fred Jacobs on the "Meteor" heading for Radio
I have written and podcasted about this topic before, and thanks to Fred Jacobs for keeping the issue alive.
I sincerely wish the powers in radio would heed Fred's plea and resolve lingering AFTRA issues so that radio stations doing a great job of Internet radio don't get punished by Arbitron for their trouble.
Let me put this in unambiguous terms: If our ratings methodology punishes us for streaming at the same time that radio's future is in no small degree dependent on streaming then we have a recipe for catastrophe.
So act now. Or job-hunt later.
